Its a Range Rover, No its a Cayenne.. Oh! its a Mini Cooper.

Its so big, muscular, its like its on steroids.. Did I mention its expensive. What happened to the "Mini" Cooper, so big, that's not its tradition. Its like it is designed by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson & priced by Oprah. What happened Mini? Or should I say Biggi.

The new Mini Cooper S All4 Countryman is, umm, trying to be big. Even though it looks big & unlike a Mini outside, well you don't get that much inside. Unlike other Mini's, this one has rear easy entry with rear doors that open wide, were an adult also has room in the back with a rear bench that includes a 60:40 split. It has a 47L fuel tank capacity which may limit just how far off the beaten track you'll be able to venture. The recently upgraded turbo charged 1 598cm3 Cooper S engine does, however, offer improved fuel consumption, even with an increase in power (128 to 135 kW), with a CAR fuel index figure of 8.76L/100km (60mi) should realise a tank range of around 540km.
Mini is offering the Countryman in either two- or all-wheel drive guise, thanks to the adaptation of BMW's xDrive system to fit this package. In all4 Countryman models this technology delivers an electronically-controlled standard 50:50 front-to-rear torque split, but has the potential to move up to 100 per cent of available torque to the front or rear wheels as required. A best 0-100 km/h (0-60mph) sprint time of 8.93 seconds was the best that could be mustered.

Its competitors is the Nissan Qashqai dCi Acenta , BMW X1 sDrive18i & the Suzuki SX4 4x4. Compared to its competitors, it may be better looking and practical but the Mini Coopers is very expensive, basically its price is ridiculous, R397 360 (around $40 000) is just ridiculous.

Some of its features is front/side/curtain airbags, climate control air-con, front/rear foglamps, with optional Sat-nav, steering controls and cruise control just to name a few. Some few disadvantages for its price include no spare wheel but run-flat tyres, 184/960 dm3 boot/utility space & a warranty and service intervals which are 3 years/75 000 km warranty/ maintenance plan.

If you ask me, with that price, I'd rather put up a few rands (dollars) and buy myself a Volkswagen Golf R which has a torque of 188kW, that has awesome features with good looks and is just all round a "peoples car".

Its not All4 for me, its just too weird and too expensive. If you want it, good luck. If you have it, pray hard.

Happy Driving (Arrive Alive)..
